The Caen Millennium is designed to shine a spotlight on the region and in the many areas that contribute to its unique character (culture, arts & sciences, research, economy, etc.).
The events and projects on offer will reflect Caen's strengths, so that, all together, we can celebrate this exceptional anniversary!
DESIGNING THE CAEN OF THE FUTURE
The Millenium aims to bring together all those who make Caen what it is today (residents, civil society organisations, local authorities, institutions, businesses, etc.) to celebrate and structure the city's future. The entire programme of events will put Caen centre stage, and everyone will have the opportunity of taking part in the celebrations.
Beyond the joy generated by the festivities for the general public, the Millenium will create a "before and after" in the history of the city.
An opportuintiy for Caen to soar, displaying its true character: that of a bold and innovative city, looking to the future and ready to welcome the world.
