From 21st of March 2024 to 20th of March 2025, come and see the city of Caen from the Vigils shelter, a structure set up on the remparts of the Castle !

A PARTICIPATORY PERFORMANCE

Would you like to be one of the 730 people who will keep watch over Caen at sunrise or sunset for 1 year?

Caen's 730 watchers will form a human chain right up to the launch of the city's Millennium on 20th March 2025!

Les Veilleurs was created by Joanne Leighton, an Australian-born Belgian choreographer who directs the company WLDN.

Whether you live in Caen or the surrounding area, or are just passing through, take part in a collective experience from the ramparts of the castle.
